It’s time once again to meet someone from the wonderful world of the South African Hotel industry. Today it gives me great pleasure to introduce Junedray from the Upper Eastside Hotel.

Room only special offer at the Quarters Hotel Hermanus

By Paul Wilson  //  south africa hotels  //  Comments Off

I used to be indecisive but now I’m not sure!

And what is it that I can’t make a decision?  Well lots my friends would probably tell you but when I got an e-mail today about a special offer at the Quarters Hotel Hermanus it reminded me that I am completely undecided on if I prefer a room only or a bed and breakfast rate when I book hotels.

Yes, yes, yes its convenient to wander bleary eyed to a hotel breakfast room, fill up on all you can eat buffet and ferry thimble after thimble of orange juice to my table.  But one of the things I really enjoy doing is experiencing as many local restaurants and cafes as possible whilst on holiday and if you have breakfast in the hotel you reduce the number of places you can go to by 1/3 during a stay.

The e-mail that winged its way to my inbox causing me such consternation today was from Elizma at the Quarters Hotel Hermanus asking me to promote a room only special offer.

So whilst I worry myself about my indecisiveness why don’t you take a look at this wonderful 4* hotel on South African coast which offers the best land based whale watching on the African continent. Quarters Hermanus is located on the historic Hermanus Harbour. The suites are tastefully decorated in a modern style and the rooms feature splendid views of the mountain cliffs or the magnificent ocean below. The hotel offers many leisure facilities and modern room amenities. The hands on management team ensure that a efficient service is delivered to all the guests.

Lagoon Beach with Cape Town rates to ease the winter blues.

It’s a bank holiday this weekend and that means the weather is looking decidedly on the dodgy side of things.  And just to remind us further that winter is on the way I’ve had an e-mail from Nico at the Lagoon Beach in Cape Town to rub it in a little further with the announcement of a cracking rate if you are travelling to Cape Town between the 1st December 2010 and the 15th January 2011.

It’s not the rate that could spin you into a spiral of despair but the realisation that the offer is called Winter in Europe & Summer in Africa.  Way to go fellas, thanks for that.  Well I suppose that I’m going to have to take drastic action and book a holiday for myself and Mrs South Africa Hotel Experts to ensure that I catch some winter sun.

If you suddenly jumped to the same conclusion then can I suggest that you check out a cracking rate at the Lagoon Beach Hotel which is a perfect choice for people traveling to Cape Town?

Situated in Minerton you are just an easy 10 minute drive from the centre of Cape Town and also with the lovely lagoon area on your doorstep offering its own fantastic eateries that provide a fantastic view of Table Mountain, the city and Green Point Stadium.
